Child Safety Standards

Effective Date: June 21, 2026
Last Updated: June 21, 2026

Global Village has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE). Content or behavior that sexualizes, endangers, or exploits children has no place on the Platform. This page sets out our standards against CSAE, how to report it, and how we respond. It applies to the Global Village mobile app and the globalvillage.app website.

To report a child-safety concern, email [email protected]. If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local law enforcement first.

1. What is prohibited

The following are strictly prohibited on Global Village:

  • Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) — any image, video, or other depiction of the sexual abuse or exploitation of a minor.
  • Sexualization of minors, including sexually suggestive content involving anyone under 18, whether real, edited, or computer generated.
  • Grooming — building a relationship with a minor to enable abuse or exploitation.
  • Sextortion — threatening to share intimate imagery to coerce a minor.
  • Trafficking of, or any attempt to solicit, sexual contact with a minor.
  • Using the Platform to link to, advertise, or facilitate any of the above on or off Global Village.

2. Minimum age

You must be at least 13 years old to use Global Village. If you are under 18, you must have permission from a parent or legal guardian. The Platform is not designed for young children, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, email [email protected] and we will remove the account and associated information.

3. How to report

There are several ways to report CSAE:

  • In the app: use the report option on any post or comment to flag it for review. Reports can be submitted by any member and are sent to our moderation team.
  • By email: for direct messages, accounts, off-app behavior, or anything you cannot report in the app, email [email protected]. Reports can be made anonymously.
  • To authorities (United States): you can report directly to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) CyberTipline at report.cybertip.org or 1-800-843-5678.
  • Emergencies: if a child is in immediate danger, contact your local law enforcement.

4. How we respond

When we become aware of CSAE on the Platform, we act quickly:

  • Remove and preserve: we remove the content and preserve the relevant records as required by law to support investigations.
  • Report to authorities: as a United States–based provider, we report apparent child sexual abuse material to the NCMEC CyberTipline and cooperate with law enforcement, consistent with our legal obligations under U.S. law (18 U.S.C. § 2258A) and applicable laws elsewhere.
  • Terminate offenders: accounts involved in CSAE are banned from the Platform. We do not allow them to return.
  • Moderation and enforcement: reported content is reviewed by our moderation team. We use community moderators, platform administrators, warnings, content removal, and community- and platform-level bans to enforce these standards.

5. Point of contact

Our designated point of contact for child-safety matters, including questions about these standards and reports of CSAE, is:
